Condition
The edges of the robe chipped especially the left edge. The gilding rubbed in places, with a section of the gilded lacquer missing on the left shoulder revealing the metal beneath. The right foot is cracked at the heel, and the lacquer cracked in places on the lower back of the robe. Accretion on the pedestal from unction used in worship. The section of metal between the feet broken, a modern pin attaches the feet to the pedestal. Two attachment loops at the back of the pedestal to hold the handle of a parasol, separately cast, now missing. The flame finial for the top of the head original but the insertion pin broken. No visible signs of restoration.
