Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is hinged to the mount at the upper edge. The edges of the work are slightly irregular. There are two artist's pinholes in the centre of the upper edge. There is a 2x1mm. paint loss in the centre of the upper part of the composition. There are two tears to the sheet - a 3x2mm. in the upper right quadrant and a 3x1mm. in the upper left corner - the original fragments are stuck to the overmount. There are three flattened creases: a 2cm. one in the upper left quadrant, a 3cm. one in the lower left quadrant and a 3cm. one in the upper right corner. Apart from some light time-staining, this work is in good condition.
