Catalogue Note

bronze with gold patina. Conceived in 1932, and cast in 1969 in an edition of five plus an artist's proof. The present work is probably the unnumbered artist's proof  from the edition. Of the five bronzes, three were mounted in a box, with an old pair of the artist's spectacles.
