Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a thick masking varnish prohibiting UV light penetrating to the surface. There are several lines of retouching to the hair to the left of the woman's face and around the crown of her head to cover craquelure. There are also a few small scattered spots of retouching to the face of the sitter. There are two small lines of retouching to the left edge, and some small scattered spots of retouching to the lower edge. All retouching is visible under UV light. This work is in fair condition.
Colours: An accurate representation although the colours are slightly warmer in the original.
