  • A PINK GOLD OPEN-FACED QUARTER REPEATING AUTOMATON WATCH WITH FATHER TIME CIRCA 1810
  • diameter 56mm.
• gilt verge movement, balance bridge pierced and engraved with scrolls, gilt metal cuvette • chased gilt dial plate, eccentric time dial with barley corn engine-turned center, Arabic hours enameled in black against white enamel disks, minutes indicated on a white enamel chapter ring, the dial flanked by cornicopia above with seated Father Time figure within an architectural setting, when the pendant is depressed, two putti appear in the aperture striking the hour and quarter hour on Father Time's scythes • 18k pink gold case, guilloché band and back • cuvette signed, case numbered 18530 

Condition

The movement is running; however, it may require service soon. Typical wear to back plate. The back of the case is thin, and the engine-turning somewhat rubbed. Minor dents to the band. Possibly one minor repair to front bezel. The repeating is out of phase and will require adjustment.
