Catalogue Note

This model, Ref. 6234, was launched in the mid-1950s. With its three subsidiary dials, a smooth bezel, round chronograph pushers in the band and a screw back, it is very similar in design to the later pre-Daytona model, Ref. 6238 (see lot 153).

The present model is rather unusual and very attractive with its square gilt indexes and gilt alpha hands. Such variations with gilt accents on the dials of steel watches are rare and very desirable in today's market.
