• cal. 727 nickel lever movement, mono-metallic compensation balance, 17 jewels, adjusted to three positions • black matte dial, applied baton indexes, three silvered engine-turned subsidiary dials calibrated for constant seconds, 12-hour and 30-minute registers • tonneau water-resistant-type case, screw-down crown and two round chronograph pushers, engraved bezel calibrated for 200 units per hour, screw back • case, dial and movement signed • with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster stretch bracelet and deployant clasp

The movement is running however we recommend service soon. It is stamped 727. The dial is in nice condtion with only minor surface marks. The case shows general wear and light surface scuffs. The numbers between the lugs are 2004668 and 6239; the number inside the back is stamped 6239. The bracelet is well worn and rather stretched and is stamped 1-73. The watch is further accompanied by a Rolex tie-tag.

This model, Ref. 6239, was the first watch designated as a Daytona. It is identified by its bezel calibrated for tachometer scale and the two-tone dial where the subsidiary dials are colored differently from the main dial.
