Condition

The movement is running, however it will require service soon. It is numbered cal. 722. it is believed that the proper caliber for the model is 727. The dial shows some light spots and light scuffs, but is in nice condition overall. Most likely this was not the dial the watch left the factory with, as it does not say Oyster on it. It was probably changed at some point (even before it was first retailled), possibly for aesthetic reasons. The dial was most likely intended originally for a Ref. 6239. The case shows general wear and general scuffs and surface marks throughout. The buttons have been recently replaced. The numbers between the lugs are 6240 and 1439942 and inside the back is stamped 6240. The bracelet is significantly stretched and will need to be repaired before use. it is stamped 1 66 and 6635 and 71 to the ends.
