The movement is running, however it might need to be serviced soon. It is numbered D466192. The dial is in nice condition with light surface marks. The Red submariner name is printed on top of white printing, as is appropriate. The case shows light wear and light surface scuffs throughout. The numbers between the lugs are 2216406 and 1680 and III.69. The bracelet is worn and scuffed, but in nice condition overall. The end pieces are stamped 280 and end link of the bracelet is stamped 7836; The buckle is stamped 2 72. The crystal is scuffed and has a chip at 6 o'clock.

This model, Ref. 1680, was launched in 1966 as the first Submariner model to feature a date aperture. Along with this, the word 'Submariner' was originally printed in red lettering. Ultimately, the signature was standardized to white, making examples with the red printing far more limited, and thus more desirable.
