- AN OVERSIZED STAINLESS STEEL CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH REGISTERS AND TACHOMETER CIRCA 1961 SPEEDMASTER BROAD-ARROW REF 2915-2
- diameter 39mm.
• cal. 321 copper-finished lever movement, mono-metallic compensation balance, 17 jewels, metal dust cover • black dial, luminescent baton indexes, luminescent broad arrown hands, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 12-hour and 30-minute register • large tonneau water-resistant-type case with engraved bezel calibrated for tachometer scale, two round chronograph pushers in the band, downturned lugs, screw back • case, dial and movement signed • with a stainless steel Omega bracelet with deployant clasp
Condition
The movement is running, however we recommend service and cleaning soon. It is numbered 16649806. The dial shows some age and discoloration, however it appears to be in nice condition. There appears to be remnants of printing underneath the word 'Speedmaster', however that is very faint. The luminescent paint has aged consistantly. The case shows general wear and light surface scuffs. The inside of the back is stamped 2915-2. The bracelet is in nice condition and is stamped 1039.

Catalogue Note
Launched in 1957, Ref. 2915 was the first model designated as a Speedmaster. Its most visible design feature are the luminescent so-called broad-arrow hands. These hands have become so iconic that Omega is presently using them again on new-production Speedmasters.
In addition to the hands, the bezel on this model is steel engraved with a tachometer scale, and does not have a black bezel insert, which would be added on later references.
