• cal. 485 oval brass-plated movement, free-sprung glucydur balance, 17 jewels • dial pavé-set with 160 round-cut diamonds, divided into quandrants • 18k white gold rectangular case, onyx-set bezel, case back secured with one screw • 18k white gold onyx-set integrated bracelet • case, dial, movement and bracelet signed
Condition
The movement is running, however it may require service soon. The case back and inside of bracelet show some light surface scuffs. There are some slight losses to the onyx on the bezel at the very edges of the bars. The inside of the clasp is stamped 711-8234R. The width is 17mm. The original retail price was approximately 13,000CHF. The diamonds are G-H in color and VVS-VS in clarity. MVT 36567759 CASE 8324 011

Catalogue Note
Omega confirms production of the present lot in 1967 and sale on December 21st, 1976. Their archives state that the watch was originally sold to their agent in Saudi Arabia.
The total diamond weight is approximately 2.40 cts.
The design of this watch is reminiscent of the geometric lines of one of the great Modern architects of this time period, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
He created stunning designs using squares, rectangles and vertical and horizontal black lines. That a watch like this so closely echos this aesthetic, speaks to his indelible mark on style in his own time, as well ours today.
