V434 nickel lever movement, 19 jewels, adjusted to temperatures • gilt dial, applied Roman and baton indexes, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30-minute register, outer pulsations tracking • 18k pink gold circular case, downturned lugs, snap back, two rectangular chronograph pushers to the band, snap back • case, dial and movement signed
Condition
The movement is running, however we recommend service and cleaning soon. It is stamped cal. 434. The dial is aged throughout and appears beautiful. It has some light spots and stains and some light scuffs to the subsidiary seconds. Some of the hard enamel to the signature appears to have come off, possibly during cleaning, however the overall look is still nice. There is a subtle two-tone effect on the dial where the pulsemeter scale is finished differently from the main dial. The case shows general wear and light surface scuffs. There is a strong gold stamp to the band at 9 o'clock. Overall this is a very rare watch in very nice condition. The Vacheron Constantin strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species; please refer to Important Notices for further information.

Catalogue Note
The present model was produced during a golden era in Geneva watch-making and fits in well with similar models from other watch companies. This watch is very similar to the Patek Philippe Ref. 130 in its shape and style.
The present watch is very unusual with its pulsations dial, and it was probably one of only a handful of similar pieces produced. Such models are rare and come to auction only infrequently.
