• eight-day rectangular nickel lever movement signed Nocturne, 13 jewels • white dial, stylized Arabic numerals, outer minutes track with Arabic indications at the quarter-hours and gilt florets at 5-minute divisions, diamond-set hands with arrow-form terminals • rectangular ivory case, the gold bezel overlaid with periwinkle enamel heightened by gold decorations, the top and bottom of the case with gold fittings chased in a foliate motif, the top centered with a gold and enamel monogram, translucent pusher to activate the minute-repeater, three apertures to the back with slide-controlled metal fittings to conceal or reveal the movement • case numbered, dial signed

The movement is running, however it may require service soon. Below the Nocturne signature on the movement, it is further numbered 30225 and 2361. The dial appears clean with some light spots and the signature and numerals are in their original hard enamel. The gold accents to the bezel have surface scratches, but there is no loss to the periwinkle enamel. The gold fittings seem slightly loosely fitted to the case. The ivory has some damage to the lower right hand corner of the front, which is visible in the photograph, and similar damage to the ivory in the lower right hand corner of the back. The case is numbered 3630 at the underneath the base. The key is unsigned.Please be advised that because the timepiece contains ivory, it cannot be shipped overseas without a CITES permit.

It is interesting to note that the presentation box opens from both the side and the top, allowing the owner to see and chime the time without removing the pendulette from its case. This design results from the fact that this clock was originally designed to be a traveler's clock.
