The Langematik line of wristwatches represents five years of work to produce the 'Sax-O-Mat' movement. A.Lange & Söhne first produced automatic watches as early as 1891 and the Langematik now exists as the first automatic watch produced by A.Lange & Söhne since the revival of the firm in 1994. This model is housed with the patented outsized date which was the first mechanism of its kind for wristwatches to offer an extraordinarily large and highly legible date display which is easily and quickly adjusted through the pusher in the band, a feature that is widely appreciated by watch collectors.
