Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and co-axial leaflet, both signed by Dr. George Daniels himself, a leather presentation case, outer card box, International Warranty dated 1999, original tags and instructions.

Made in 1999 in a limited edition of 999 pieces. The present lot is numbered 88.

Dr. George Daniels is recognised as one of the greatest watchmakers of the 20th Century. In 1981 he received an MBE for his services to horology - the first watchmaker ever to receive such an honour. The current lot incorporates his patented 'Co-Axial' escapement which Daniels developed during the 1970s. The revolutionary escapement is designed with almost no sliding friction and therefore there is no need for lubrication on the acting surfaces.
