Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Richard Mille fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Richard Mille first began working the watch industry in 1974. However, it was not until 2001 that he released the first watch bearing his company's name. Since that time, he has been seen as one of the rising stars of horology.

Inspired by the perfection found in the Formula-1 racing circuit, Richard Mille creates his innovative and performance-oriented wristwatches using non-traditional materials, such as ceramics, new metallic alloys and carbon fibers. The company does not produce watches with standard metal parts, as many of the gears and pieces that make up the movement are custom-made for individual models.

The current model, RM011, took more than two years to develop and perfect. It was made to honor the Brazilian Formula-1 driver Felipe Massa. The watchmaker and driver have a history going back to Mille's days in race car design.
