A rare and one of the very few stainless steel model introduced by Patek Philippe! Manual winding is running while cataloguing. Signs of light wear on the left lug but hardly noticeable and can be polished easily. Overall in excellent condition. In 2006, Patek Philippe launched the REF. 5565 in a limited edition set of 300 pieces to celebrate the re-opening of the Patek Philippe salons on Rue du Rhone in Geneva. The case back of this REF. 5565 engraved the view of the Patek Philippe building and with inscription of the three milestone year 1839, 1892, and 2006.

REF.565 is the predecessor of the present example REF.5565; the two-part case in which the bezel and case band constitute one part features their resemblence. REF.5565 is distinguished by the two-tone dial, a satin-finished centerfield, applied nickel-plated Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds.

The REF. 5565A was produced in a very limited series of only 300 pieces.
