Condition
Automatic movement running and all functions appear fully operational while cataloguing. Dial looks nice and clean. Case and buckle with no significant signs of use. Case and buckle retain clear hallmarks. Overall appears in excellent condition. Movement numbered 3125808. Case numbered 4127847.

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, an extra case back, a setting pin and booklets in maroon leather folder.
Patek Philippe launched REF. 5040 in 1992 and the model was made in two series. The first series began with movement number 770000 and the second series was numbered from 3120000. In addition, the first series features a sunken leap year indicator whilst in the second series it is both sunken and crossed.
