• cal. 315-199 damascened nickel lever movement stamped with the Geneva Seal, 36 jewels, free-sprung Gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, gold rotor engraved with the Calatrava cross • satin finished silvered gray dial, luminescent Roman numerals, feuille hands, centre seconds, power sector at 12 o'clock, two subsidiary dials for day and month, apertures for date and moon-phases • platinum case with scooped bezel,one diamond weighing 0.02 carats set in the band between the down-turned lugs at 6 o'clock, screw-down sapphire crystal display back • case, dial and movement signed • with a platinum PP buckle

Automatic movement is running, date, day month are advancing while cataloguing. The moon-phases button needs some attention. Dial is nice and clean. Case and buckle appears with no signs of wear. Overall appears in excellent condition. Movement numbered 3288286. Case numbered. **The leather strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information.**

REF. 5056 was produced only in platinum. Patek philippe launched this model in 1998 and its production discontinued in 2006. A similar model to REF. 5056 is REF. 5036- that was only made in yellow, white and pink gold.
Accordingly to our research, the present example is one of afew hundred pieces that were made, of those, approximately 30 have been offered at auction.
