Rare and Collectable! Automatic movement running while cataloguing, perpetual calendar functions appear operational while cataloguing. Dial looks nice and clean. Case and buckle with no significant signs of use, only light wear to underside of lugs, but it is hardly noticeable and can be polished easily. Overall appears in unused condition. Movement numbered 1957717. Case number 2998701. **The leather strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information.**

Ref. 5050, was produced for approximately ten years, with production ending around 2002. It is the first sweep seconds perpetual calendar wriswatch produced by Patek Philippe since the iconic Ref. 2497 and Ref. 2438-1. According to our research, the present example is one of approximately ? in platinum from this reference to appear to auction. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time the present lot has been offered at auction.
