- A FINE AND RARE DOUBLE DIALLED YELLOW GOLD AND ENAMEL AUTOMATON WATCH CIRCA 1800 NO 6412
- DIAMETER 50.5 MM
• gilt brass full plate verge movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, plain brass balance • on one side: white enamel with off set dial, Arabic numerals, sector for fast/slow adjustment, signed Bouvier Frères, winding device; on the other side: a blue enamel champlevé decoration, vases standing on top of plinths, trophy in the centre with doves and a quiver, an aperture at the top for six automaton figures of Comedia dell Arte passing over a painted landscape background, turning over every minute

Condition
Movement running, all finctions appear fully operational while cataloguing. Front enamel in good condition, the inside background of automatons with two cracks, the back champleve panel with some small missing parts on the top left hand side. Overall, this watch is a fine and rare example of an automaton watch from the period.
