Catalogue Note

Jean-Louis Joly (born Geneva 1757) and Salomon Chenevard (born Peissy 1773) were both partners in the firm of Roux, Ponçon & Cie. between 1801 and 1803. They were in partnership together from around 1806, entering this mark officially in 1809. By 1815, they had taken on a junior partner, Pierre Jouvet, and consequently registered a new maker's mark.
