Condition

Automatic movement running and calendar functions appear to be operating while cataloguing. Dial is clean and looks good. Case with some scuffs,scratches to the back, but this can be polished. Overall the watch is in very good condition.

Catalogue Note

Urban Jurgensen (1776-1830) studied horology in Denmark with his father and then spent time at Le Locle in Switzerland, Paris and London to perfect his skills as a clock and chronometer maker. Urban Jurgensen worked with Abraham-Louis Breguet, Ferdinand and Pierre-Louis Berthoud and John Arnold. His company was paid by the Royal Danish government to start the Danish marine chronometer industry for the country's navy. Over the years, Jurgensen watches have earned more than 30 international awards for design and quality workmanship.
