• cal.722-1 manual winding nickel lever movement, 17 jewels, free-sprung mono-metallic balance, adjusted to 3 positions • black matte dial, applied baton numerals, three silvered engine-turned subsidiary dials for seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers • stainless steel case with two round chronograph pushers in the band, bezel engraved and calibrated for 200 units, screw-down crown and back • case, dial and movement signed • with two stainless steel Rolex bracelets with folding clasps

Condition

Manual winding movement and chronograph functions operational while cataloguing. Dial in good condition. Case with minor scuffs due to wear. Both bracelets with scuffs. Serial no. 1997811. Ref. 6239. A very good example of the reference.

Catalogue Note

Launched in 1960, Ref. 6239 was the first watch designated as a Daytona. It is identified by its bezel calibrated for tachometer scale and the two-tone dial where the subsidiary dials are coloured differently from the main dial.
