Condition
The movement is running while cataloguing. Dial refreshed and with unusual Breguet numeral design. Case been polished. Overall good condition. A rare model in the production of elegant wristwatches by Patek Philippe.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1929 with white gold Breguet numerals and sale on January 6th, 1931.
The present wristwatch is described in the archives as rectangular "tortue" due to its bevelled bezel which is one piece with the lugs. With the crown as the head and the lugs as the feet, the shape of the case resembles a turtle, hence "tortue". A rare model, approximately 30 rectangular "tortue" wristwatches are currently known. Originally manufactured in yellow and white gold and platinum, the model's influence is seen in the modern reference 5109.
