Condition

The movement is running and repeating while cataloguing, but the chronogragh would benefit from a service. Dial in good condition. Case overall with light scuffs. Monogram to case back 'HEC'. Overall good condition.

Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1889 and sale on September 5th, 1891. The Extract further confirms the monogram to the case.

The earliest known Patek Philippe split seconds chronograph pocket watches date to 1879-1880. A similar watch is illustrated in Huber, M., Banbery, A., Patek Philippe, 1982, p.224, fig.204.
