shade design attributed to Clara Driscoll

Condition
Very good overall condition. The shade with approximately 3-5 cracks to the glass scattered throughout. An attractive dichroic glass articulates the dragonfly spines which is amber in reflected light but illuminates to a brilliant reddish tone. There is surface soiling to the shade notably around the lead lines and recessed contours within the reticulated overlays on the wings. The gilt bronze base with surface soiling, oxidation and rubbing consistent with age and use. The period gilt finial with a few shallow surface indentations. With replaced sockets and switches. A fine example of the model with a well-varied and striking color palette.
