Description
This diminutive 2 1/2" x 4" address book appears to have been a constant companion of one well-traveled baseball fan in the 1930's. It was used to compile 141 ink signatures from various American League players including some of the all-time greats from the era. Signatures include Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx (alone on a page), Walter Johnson, Faber, Simmons, Berg, Dickey, Gomez, Goslin, and Rice. Lazzeri, Cochrane, Grove, and Ruffing are stamped versions. Autographs range from 6/10 to 10/10 with a mixture of front-only signed pages and front/back signed pages. The Ruth and Gehrig signatures are on opposite sides of the same page, but could be separated if so desired as they are close in position but do not overlap. LOA from PSA/DNA.
