Bobby Richardson's Yankee teammates were a down-and-dirty bunch, but they tried to clean up their act around their religious second-baseman. Respected as a competitor and as a clean-living, God-fearing gentleman, Richardson was a solid contributor to seven Yankee pennant-winners.
