Description

Bobby Richardson's Yankee teammates were a down-and-dirty bunch, but they tried to clean up their act around their religious second-baseman. Respected as a competitor and as a clean-living, God-fearing gentleman, Richardson was a solid contributor to seven Yankee pennant-winners. Once Moose Skowron struck out three times in a game and came storming into the dugout, threw his equipment down, and was cursing as he walked down the bench. As he passed Richardson, still cursing, he threw in an "Excuse me, Bobby," and continued with his obscenities, cracking up the whole team. This ultimate circa 1960's game used Richardson ensemble includes includes his well-worn spikes, fielders glove, Yankees batting helmet and a H&B Wally Moses signature model K55 bat adopted by Richardson with tons of apparent use, signed on the barrel "My Gamer, Bobby Richardson".
