Description

The center supporting a tassel of seed pearl fringes surmounted by an openwork cap of foliate scroll design set with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds, the necklace designed as four-strand segments of seed pearls joined by openwork plaques and links of similar motif, set with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 4.50 carats, mounted in platinum and gold, length 25½ inches, French assay marks and partial maker's mark on pendant.  

Condition

Good condition with light wear to the mountings. The round to near round pearls are slightly more silvery in color than indicated by the catalogue illustration. Good luster, minor blemishing. The diamonds are approximately H-I-J color, SI clarity; some chips noticeable under magnification. With French marks for platinum and gold and partial maker's mark on the pendant loop only. Fitted with safety clasp.
