Description

The natural button pearls measuring approximately 14.6 mm., decorated further with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats, mounted in platinum, French assay marks, maker's marks, signed Cartier.

Condition

Please note that the earclips are by Cartier. The pearls are a very slightly silvery white color with faint pink overtones. Attractive, satin-like luster. Minor blemishing and light scratching. The underside of one pearl has lost a few layers of nacre but this is not apparent when worn. The button-shaped are the same shape when viewed from the front, but are slightly different in shape when viewed from the side. The mountings are in good condition with general wear commensurate with age. Each clip backing signed Cartier and with maker's mark HP bisected by a spade (?) within a lozenge. French assay marks for platinum and 18 karat gold. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Fitted with short posts.
