Description

Decorated with six oval micromosaics of male and female peasants at various pursuits wearing regional costumes, all within black onyx borders, the gold frames accented with wirework and separated by hinges with knob terminals, length 7½ inches.

Condition

Tests as 18 karat gold. One onyx panel is cracked on reverse, another has small chips. A few small tesserae missing. Some tarnishing to the gold, a small amount of pitting and the bracelet is a little bent at one of the links, but in good condition overall, especially for the age. With indistinguishable assay or import/export mark on clasp tongue.
