Description
The carved rock crystal plaque of rectangular shape within a border of old European-cut diamonds, the center accented with a rectangular sapphire framed by additional diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 2.20 carats, mounted in platinum, signed Cartier, New York, numbered 6408 and 6589, French assay marks and maker's mark. With signed box.
Condition
It has French assay marks and a maker's mark of G and A in a lozenge. Sapphire is deep blue and slightly abraded, diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS-SI clarity. Signed Cartier New York on lower edge of frame and numbered 6408 and 6589 on either end. In good condition. Piece was likely made in France for stock in NY.
