Description

Comprising two pairs of earclips, the first set with 2 emerald-cut aquamarines, bordered by baguette and small round diamonds weighing approximately 1.30 carats, mounted in platinum, signed Cartier, Paris, the second set with 2 fancy-shaped aquamarines and clusters of round sapphires; two brooches, the first designed as a bow with fancy-shaped aquamarine terminals, decorated with single-cut and baguette diamonds, the second a wreath of 8 oval aquamarines, and a ring set with an emerald-cut aquamarine flanked by buckle motifs of baguette and single-cut diamonds, size 6ΒΌ, the group mounted in platinum and white gold.

Condition

The emerald-cut aquamarines in the Cartier earclips weigh approx. 9.00 carats total, the mountings have French assay marks and are numbered 9890. The fancy pear-shaped earclips are stamped with a patent date of Nov. 15, 1927. The aquamarine in the ring weighs approximately 15.00 carats, the diamonds approximately .50 carat. The diamonds in the bow brooch total approximately .60 carat. The circle brooch is of later design. Diamonds in all pieces are approximately H-J color and VS-I clarity. All pieces in good condition overall. All aquamarines are a softer, less intense shade of light blue than indicated by the catalogue illustration.
