The triple-strand necklace composed of 137 cultured pearls measuring approximately 7.2 mm. and the bracelet composed of 84 cultured pearls measuring approximately 5.9 to 5.4 mm., each completed by a circular clasp centering a round zircon framed by square-cut or French-cut synthetic rubies, the borders studded with small round diamonds, mounted in gold, lengths 15 and 7 inches, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, N.Y., numbered SO 656-7 and SO 656 respectively, 1 diamond missing.
Condition
NECKLACE: The pearls are a creamy shade with faint overtones of rose, with waxy to good luster and minor blemishing. The pearls on the clasp are slightly more lustrous and the zircon and synthetic rubies are bright and lively. The strands will need to be restrung soon. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels N.Y. and numbered SO 656-7 on the clasp tongue. BRACELET: 1 diamond missing on bracelet. The pearls are a creamy golden shade, with good luster and minor blemishing. The other colored stones are of similar quality to the necklace. The bracelet is signed Van Cleef & Arpels N.Y. and numbered SO 656. Both pieces are in good condition overall and fitted with safety closures.
