Description

The pear-shaped diamond weighing approximately 4.00 carats, in a raised bombé mounting surrounded by 86 round diamonds, the shoulders decorated with a row of 14 baguette diamonds, the total weight approximately 2.75 carats, mounted in platinum, size 5, signed Monture Cartier, numbered 48214, assay marks.

Condition

In fairly good condition with overall wear and nicking to the mounting commensurate with regular wear. The pear-shaped diamond weighs 4.34 carats and is approximately K-L color (with strong fluorescence), VS2-SI1 clarity due to a chip at the girdle. The diamond is rounded at the tip. The remaining diamonds are approximately G-H-I color, VS clarity; one of teh baguette diamonds is cracked but this is not immediately apparent. Signed and numbered on shank interior. Bearing a very rubbed French guarantee mark on the underside of the shank exterior.
