Description

Of oblong shape, decorated with black and white enamel, the cover accented with a rose-cut diamond plaque, the hinged lid opens to reveal two covered compartments and a fitted mirror, mounted in 14 karat gold, completed by a gold chain handle with black and white enameled batons, case 2¾ by 1½ inches.

Condition

The enamel is in good condition apart from a few small areas of loss and repair to the underside of the compact, near the thumbpiece. The diamonds are of decorative quality. A small amount of discoloration to the gold on the interior and two very small dents to the inside lids of the two segmented compartments.
