Description

The oval cabochon star ruby measuring approximately 11.4 by 10.3 mm., framed by 6 baguette and 14 single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.25 carats, mounted in platinum and 18 karat white gold, size 4¾. 

Condition

The star ruby is a deep purplish pink and is opaque with surface reaching inclusions. Also with a distinct star showing straight legs. The diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS clarity. Shank was formerly adjustable and is 18 K white gold, probably later added. In good condition overall.
