Description
The round diamond weighing 3.66 carats, flanked by 2 tapered baguette diamonds, mounted in platinum, size 5¾, French assay mark.
Condition
Good condition with light wear to the mounting. The diamond is approximately I-J color, VS1 clarity with minor chips to girdle. The baguette diamonds are approximately G-H-I color, SI clarity. The ring has a box signed Mauboussin; according to the consignor, the ring was purchased at Mauboussin in Paris during the 1920s. There is a partial worn maker's mark on the band. The diamond has been laser inscribed on the girdle AGSL 8700401 by the American Gem Society Laboratories. The accompanying certificate (available upon request) states the diamond to be I color, VS2 clarity.
