Description

Comprising: a heart-shaped gilt metal padlock in scrolled repoussé work, the reverse inset with an oval portrait miniature of a left eye, with pale blue iris, painted on ivory, 1830s; a heart-shaped gold padlock with engraved chased work, decorated with a floral motif composed of a cushion-shaped garnet within a border of half pearls, the reverse with a circular portrait miniature of a gentleman's eye, with brown iris painted on ivory, 1840s; and a small heart-shaped gold scroll engraved locket with a pear-shaped carbuncle, the reverse a glazed circular miniature depicting a gentleman's left eye, with grey/blue iris, painted on ivory, 1840s.

Condition

Embossed padlock : eye in good condition, padlock gilt metal, with traces of wear to edges, garnet padlock : eye good condition, padlock in good condition, garnet /pearl padlock : eye slightly faded, padlock in good condition.
