Description

Designed as a crescent moon, set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, terminating in stylised en tremblant flower heads set with circular-cut stones, case by Bentley & Co, 65 New Bond Street, W1, Early 19th Century, composite.

Condition

Estimated total diamond weight approximately 11.50-12.50 carats, lively stones. Composed of late 18th and early 19th century elements. Possibly either a necklace or bracelet. The diamonds on the crescent brooch partially wired in and lead soldered. Composite piece. Foil back stones. Evidence of additional lead solder to tremblant fittings. Later pin. In overall good condition.
