PINK SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BROOCH/PENDANT, SOBOLEWSKI, 1860s

Designed as a Greek cross centring on a cushion-shaped purplish pink sapphire weighing 3.67 carats set with similarly cut stones to the cardinal points and pendant bail, accented with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, signed Sobolewski a Paris, pendant bail detachable, accompanied by a detachable pin fitting.

Accompanied by a report from The Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain, no. 0128261, stating that the purplish pink sapphire weighing 3.67 carats is natural with no evidence of heat treatment and originates from Burma.
