Condition
Good unrestored condition with two larges cracks or both sides. Small dents and scratches in places.
Very fine quality of ebenisterie (carcass and veneer).

François-Ignace Papst, ébeniste reçu maître en 1785
Papst réalisa plusieurs commodes en acajou, plus simples, présentant un gabarit identique.Une d'entre elles, simplement ornée de poignées de tirage, faisait partie de la vente de Sotheby's à Londres, le 8 décembre 1995, lot 261, une autre, également décorée de chutes et entrées de serrure, a été vendue à Paris au Palais Galliéra, le 26 novembre 1974, lot 97.
