Une pendule similaire reposant sur un socle rocaille a été vendue chez Sotheby's à New York le 16 mai 1987, lot 54 ; une autre, avec un cadran de Dutertre se trouvait autrefois dans la galerie Jacques Perrin à Paris, elle est illustrée dans P. Kjellberg, Encyclopédie de la pendule française, Paris, 1997, p. 122, fig. A. Une variante existe avec un amour à la place du chinois, reproduite dans H. Ottomeyer et P.
