La paternité de ce type de table à écrire à tablette d'entretoise, le plus souvent en acajou, doit sans aucun doute revenir à Adam Weisweiler. On répertorie plusieurs tables identiques (les pieds à pans, le tiroir de façade parfaitement plat sans mouluration) estampillées de Weisweiler (voir notamment Sotheby's Monaco, le 15 juin 1981, lot 94 : le plateau présentant le même encadrement dans un acajou différent de celui du centre).
