Nice set of five armchairs in good condition with wear to the paint; upholstery in overall good condition with very small stains, one tear on one seat (3 3/4 in).

Catalogue Note

Jean-Jacques Pothier, menuisier reçu maître en 1750

L'oeuvre de Pothier comprend un certain nombre de sièges présentant les mêmes caractéristiques. Il s'agit de grands et confortables fauteuils à dossiers cintrés dont l'assise est étonnamment large, ce qui leur confère une particulière élégance. Bien que présentant certaines différences, ces fauteuils ornaient le même salon que les bergères constituant le lot suivant.
