- Buste d'homme en terre cuite
- Haut. 53 cm
- height 21 in
les cheveux bouclés coiffés en arrière dégageant son front, la tête légèrement tournée vers la gauche, il porte une veste boutonnée entrouverte laissant apparaître une chemise en dentelles, un tissu drapé autour des épaules ; le buste repose sur un piédouche en marbre gris turquin

Condition
Overall good condition with minor surface dust in the crevisses. A few very fine firing cracks appear to the surface around his neck and to the drapery. A few retouched chips to the surface of the drapery. As can be seen on the photograph, a few minor chips to the edges of the marble base.
Height of bust 51 cm; total height with base 70 cm.

Bien que son auteur demeure non identifié, la vivacité du regard et le réalisme dans le traitement du costume rappelle les portraits en terre cuite réalisés vers 1760/80 par Augustin Pajou (1730-1809) .
