ciascuna raffigurante sirena che sostiene un vaso, alcune aggiunte e ridipinture
Condition
Entrambe le mensole non pertinenti aggiunte in epoca posteriore.
Entrambe con numerose spaccature verticali e ridipinture nella zona intorno alla mensola.
Piccole cadute diffuse al pigmento.
In origine probabilmente schienale di panche di androne.
The tops are not original; added in a later time.
Both have several vertical cracks and repainted near the tops.
Small losses on the varnished surfaces.
Originally they were probably the back of hall benches.

Catalogue Note
Due sirene dipinte su queste mensole possono essere confrontate con la decorazione di un mobile dipinto della chiesa di San Pietro a Parma riferibile all'opera del decoratore Galeotti al quale è attribuito il set delle sei panche dell'Università di Parma dipinte con sirene vicine a quelle di questo lotto (vedi G. Cirillo e G. Godi, Il Mobile a Parma, Parma 1983, figg. 213a e b).
