comprising a pair of bergères and a pair of fauteuils à la reine, each with molded frames carved all around with twisted ribbon, padded armrests on downswept leaf-carved supports, raised on tapered stop-fluted legs.
Condition
The chairs are of good, generous scale. They have been used for the last 40 years without recent restoration and the frames have become loose in places. There is a crack in one armrest support. The paint is uniformly worn which is visible in the catalogue illustration. It is a nicely carved set of seat furniture of good quality and by a very good chair maker, and is well worth undertaking some expert restoration.
