Description

  • 70 cm; 65.5 cm; 33.5 cm
the shaped top inset with a leather writing surface above two drawers raised on cabriole legs, the decorated with cartouches enclosing floral bouquets, the back veneered. Adapted.

Condition

Marks, craquelure, scratches, surface abrasions and losses to the leather top. Hairline cracks to the veneer. Restorations to the marquetry. With some losses to the veneers and marquetry. The locks are replaced. With a new fitted bottom. The back possibly later veneered. The brass and ormolu mounts with traces of tarnishing and oxidation respectively. In otherwise sound condition.
